Privacy Policy
LockedIn — Gym Workout Tracker Log ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS workout tracker built by LOCKEDIN Studio. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it's used and stored, and the choices you have.
Note: this policy is written in plain language for our App Store listing and is not a substitute for legal advice. It has not been reviewed by an attorney — before treating it as final, have it reviewed by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
The short version
The app has no accounts and no sign-up. Your workout data is stored on your device, and optionally backed up through your own iCloud account — never on a server we run. The app reads your step count and activity from Apple Health, with your permission, only to show it to you. If you subscribe to LockedIn Pro, Apple handles the payment — we never see or store your card details. We don't use analytics, ad networks, or third-party trackers, and we don't sell or share your data with anyone.
Your workout data
Your workout templates, session history, weight logs, and profile info are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device SwiftData storage. If you turn on iCloud sync, that same data is also backed up to your own iCloud account, so it stays in sync across your own devices. This sync goes through Apple's iCloud infrastructure and your own Apple ID — it does not pass through, or get stored on, any server that we control.
Apple Health
With your explicit permission, the app reads your step count and active energy from Apple Health (HealthKit) to display your activity and step data inside the app. This access is read-only — the app never writes to Health, and this information is never uploaded to us, stored on a server, or shared with anyone. You can revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.
Notifications
The app can send local notifications for things like workout reminders and step goals. These are generated entirely on your device — there is no push notification server and no third-party notification service involved. You can turn notifications off at any time in the iOS Settings app under Notifications.
Subscriptions & payments
The app offers an optional auto-renewable subscription, "LockedIn Pro" (available monthly or annually, with a free trial). Subscriptions are purchased and billed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system (StoreKit). We never receive or store your payment card details — Apple processes and handles all payment information under its own privacy policy, available at apple.com/legal/privacy.
No accounts, no tracking, no ads
The app has no user accounts or login of any kind. It contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, and no third-party trackers. We do not build a profile of you and we do not track you across apps or websites.
No data sharing or selling
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. The only outside parties involved in handling your data at all are Apple's own iCloud (if you enable sync) and Apple's StoreKit (if you subscribe) — both governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Deleting your data & managing permissions
You're in control of your data at all times:
• Delete your local data — uninstalling the app removes everything
stored on your device.
• Stop or remove iCloud sync — turn off iCloud sync in the app's
settings, or manage/delete your synced app data from your device's Settings → [your
name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
• Revoke Health access — iOS Settings → Privacy & Security →
Health.
• Revoke notifications — iOS Settings → Notifications.
• Manage or cancel your subscription — iOS Settings → [your name] →
Subscriptions.
Data security
Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security (such as your passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID) and iOS data protection. Data synced via iCloud is protected under Apple's iCloud security and encryption.
Children's privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the app changes. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
